Xiaomi has launched its latest flagship smartphone the - Mi 5 in India. The smartphone was announced at the recently concluded Mobile World Congress 2016 held in Barcelona, Spain, where the product got much attention for its specs and features.
Just to recall, the Mi 5 features a 5.15-inch display offering full HD resolution of 1920x1080 pixels with impressive pixel density of 428ppi. The handset is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 chipset. The processor is clocked at 1.8GHz in the 3GB variant and 2.15GHz in the Pro variant with 4GB RAM. The standard edition has 32GB or 64GB of internal storage, whereas the Pro boasts a massive 128GB of inbuilt storage space.
In the camera department, it has a 16-megapixel camera on the back with OIS, PDAF, 4K video recording and dual tone dual LED flash. On the front, it has a 4-megapixel camera sensor for a selfie. When it comes to design, the iPhone SE has all the strengths of Apple's lineup including a metal unibody. Its corners are curved and it has great looks. While, the Mi 5 has a metal frame but glass on the front and back panel.
In terms of display size, the Mi 5 wins the war with 5.15-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels measuring a pixel density of 428ppi. The Apple iPhone SE comes with a 4-inch IPS LCD display at 640x1136 pixels resolution with pixel density of 326ppi.
On board, the iPhone SE is powered by A9 chipset coupled with a dual-core CPU and a PowerVR GT7600 GPU. While, the Mi 5 is packed with Snapdragon 820 CPU coupled with quad-core CPU and an Adreno 530GPU.
There is no memory card slot on the iPhone SE and the same goes to the Mi 5. As for RAM, the Xiaomi Mi 5 comes in two variants 3GB and 4GB, while the iPhone SE comes with 2GB RAM.
With an easy-to-use interface at its core, iOS 9 is the foundation of iPhone SE and brings powerful built-in apps like Messages, FaceTime, Photos, Music, and Maps. The Xiaomi Mi 5 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with MIUI 7 on top.
The iPhone SE has an advanced 12-megapixel iSight camera featuring Focus Pixel technology for fast focusing, an Apple-designed image signal processor, advanced noise reduction, third-generation local tone mapping and better face detection. While, the Mi 5 adorns a 16-megapixel rear facing snapper that comes with OIS, PDAF, 4K video recording, and dual tone dual LED.
The Xiaomi Mi 5 is price at Rs. 24,999 for 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. While, Apple iPhone SE is expected to be priced around Rs. 39,999.
