Last week, when Xiaomi revealed a teaser pointing out at a launch to happen on July 27, the tech media world started expecting the launch of a new Redmi smartphone. Even rumors regarding the smartphone started circulating all over the internet.

Now, Xiaomi has confirmed that the Xiaomi Redmi Pro will be launched officially at the event via Weibo. Xiaomi is likely to launch the Mi Notebook as well at the event to happen in the next week.

Before the official confirmation of the name from Xiaomi, the Geekbench test of the device leaked online tipping that it is not the Redmi Note 4 but the Redmi Pro. Here, we have come up with the potential or rumored specs of the Xiaomi Redmi Pro before its launch.

Deca-core MediaTek chipset

Going by the leaked benchmark listing, the base level variant of Xiaomi Redmi Pro is likely listed to feature a deca-core MediaTek MT6797M chipset under its hood. Also, there is likely a premium variant that is in the making that is claimed to arrive with an Helio X25 MT6797T SoC. Even the leaked retail box of the Redmi Note 4 revealed similar processor and specs.

4 GB RAM in the premium model

While the base level model is listed to arrive with 3 GB of RAM, the premium variant of the Xiaomi Redmi Pro is rumored to feature 4 GB of RAM. As of now, there seem to be no clues about the 6 GB RAM variant.

Benchmark scores are promising

The benchmark scores of the Redmi Pro seem to be promising. The single-core portion of the test shows a score of 1218 and a multi-core version of the test shows 4183 for the base version. The same for the premium variant of the Redmi Pro seem to be 1845 and 5012 respectively.

5.5-inch display

While Xiaomi has not confirmed anything other than the launch date, the Redmi Pro is rumored to boast a 5.5-inch display. We are yet to see more details when the smartphone is unveiled on July 27.
