Yu YU6000 is the Yureka Plus successor you all had been waiting for: Specs, Features, Price & More!
Yu Yureka Plus sales has been severely dented by the launch of the LeTv Le 1S and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 smartphone. Well, it seems that YU has noticed the fate of its budget phablet and is already prepping up to launch its successor in India.
As per a recent Zauba import listing around 10,000 units of a mysterious YU smartphone with model number YU6000 has hit Indian shores a few weeks back. The units originating from China and Hong Kong respectively signify that the YU smartphone in question is surely not 'Made in India' Apparently an alleged YU smartphone with an exact same model number was spotted in GFXBench last year. In fact, the YU YU6000 smartphone was expected to launch alongside the YU Yutopia.

YU YU6000 Specs
The GFX Bench listing revealed that the mid-range YU smartphone packs a 4.6 inch Full HD IPS display upfront and is powered by a Mediatek 6753 octacore SoC (8 x Cortex A53 clocked at 1.5GHz each). This is backed by a Mali T720 GPU and 3GB of RAM.
Apart from that the benchmark listing also reveal that the YU YU6000 smartphone believed to be the successor of the YU Yureka Plus that runs on Android Lollipop 5.1, sports 16GB of internal storage (usable 11GB), 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front facing selfie camera. The YU Yureka Plus successor is expected to come with a MicroSD card expansion slot and have support for 4G LTE networks.
The YU YU6000 smartphone was also spotted in GeekBench towards the fag end of last year. The alleged device from YU scored a respectable 707 in Single-Core and 3205 in Multi-Core.
Yureka or Yuphoria?
The GFXBench and the Zauba listing is apparently contradicting each other when it comes to the specs of the display. While the GFXBench reveals the YU YU6000 to sport a 4.6 inch Full HD panel, the disclosures made by Zauba indicate a 6-inch panel. This dispute is further depended by the use of the word 'Yuphoria' behind the YU YU6000 model number in the GFXBench listing.
Apparently the 'Yuphoria' branding is used specifically for their budget 5 inch smartphones whereas the company refers to their budget phablets as 'Yureka'. Well, Zauba has a better track record of revealing the correct specs as compared to the GFX Bench, hence referring to the smartphone as a Yureka Plus successor would be safe call to make.

Besides that, the YU Yuphoria was a 'Made in India' smartphone as compared to the YU Yureka Plus hence it quite unlikely that the Rahul Sharma led Micromax subsidiary would replace their existing device with an imported model.
Yu Yureka Plus pricing revealed
The Zauba import listing further reveal that each unit of the Yu YU6000 smartphone is priced at Rs 9,360. Well, the launch price in India is expected to be slightly higher as the import pricing is exclusive of import duties, logistics charges and regional taxes. Expect YU to price it at around Rs 9999 to Rs 10,999 to give itself a chance against the likes of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 and the LeTv Le 1S smartphone. Apart from these the YU Yureka Plus successor will face steep competition from Lenovo K5 Plus smartphone.
