Lenovo has been setting new records with its A6000 smartphone in India. The 4G LTE-enabled smartphone that went up on sale today at 2PM is said to have sold out within a mere 4 seconds.
The e-commerce giant Flipkart had started selling the 20,000 units of the phone to pre-registered users at 2 pm today. Later, Lenovo tweeted that all units of the device were sold in just 4 seconds. The next sale is on February 25 and the registrations will begin at 6PM today. As usual, users will have to register again for the next sale.
At just Rs. 6,999, Lenovo A6000 is one of the cheapest 4G LTE capable smartphone in the market. The dual-SIM phone is powered by a 1.2GHz 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor coupled with 1GB of RAM, 8GB internal memory and a microSD card slot.
The device is also stuffed with an 8MP rear camera, and a 2MP front facing shooter. The phone runs on Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box. The makers have added a 2,300mAh battery pack.
The Lenovo A6000 is still a superb smartphone and the price is significantly lower than most mid-end handsets with 4G LTE connectivity, which is why it's still one of our favourite smartphones. The design is impressive, it's as powerful as you need and the screen is great. The device competes against the likes of Samsung Galaxy J1, Xiaomi Redmi 1S and the Moto E.
