For months, rumors have swirled that Microsoft will likely to launch the successor to the Lumia 1020 later in the year. However, rumors will become reality when Microsoft finally announces the much-hyped Lumia 1030.

Now the latest rumor straight from China shows off a purported leaked front panel of what appears to be an upcoming Windows smartphone.

According to reports, the alleged display panel measures around 5-inches and could belong to the company's forthcoming monster handset.

Meanwhile, onlooker believes that the front panel in black has a squared shaped design. The live pictures also add credence to rumors that the next-generation smartphone would have traditional capacitive buttons.

Microsoft has typically done a brilliant job of keeping its flagship devices under wraps but this year seemed to be different. However, the firm appears to be making new devices for the next fiscal year.

Rumors about the Lumia 1030, to date, have been scarce. Reports, meanwhile, have suggested the company will release the 41MP camera-centric device early next year. No specific dates have been mentioned thus far.
