Following the release of the Galaxy S5 last year, Samsung eventually released the Galaxy S5 Active in the US. Now, once again, Samsung is rumoured to come up with the rugged version of its latest flagship handset (dubbed, "Galaxy S6 Active").
If some media reports are to be believed, then the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active will be out in the coming days. The Galaxy S6 will carry a model number (SM-G890A) and will have the same 5.1-inch QHD screen that you can found on the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge.
Specifications are said to remain the same. It will include the same Exynos 7420 processor under the hood with 3GB RAM, 32GB storage, 16 megapixel (back) and 5 megapixel (front) camera.
Since it will be a rough & tough handset, it will reportedly come in at 73.6 x 146.9 x 8.8 mm, in comparison, the Galaxy S6's dimensions are 70.5 x 143.4 x 6.8 mm. Being a rugged phone, the Galaxy S6 Active will probably have a large 3,500mAh battery pack. Yes indeed, the device will be waterproof and dustproof.
AT&T is reportedly going to support the device, claims a new report. At this point these are mere rumours, but following Samsung's previous upgrade cycles we could be see the device making its debut sometime around May 2015.
