South Korean tech giant, Samsung is constantly adding new handsets to its portfolio to retain its position of the world's largest smartphone vendor. Interestingly, the company has made it evident that it is not only coming up with Android handsets, but also Windows Phone devices by unveiling the first official Windows Phone 8 smartphone – Ativ S, which is still awaiting its release.
Further, market researchers have estimated that Samsung will achieve a sales figure of 61.5 million units in Q4 2012. In order to achieve this milestone, Galaxy S3, the flagship smartphone of Samsung seems to be helping the company.
As of now, Galaxy S3 is the hottest selling Android handset in the world and it has achieved over 30 million sales in just five months of its release. Moreover, recently, Samsung has rolled out the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean upgrade to the handset.
When it comes to the availability in India, Galaxy S3 is priced at Rs 34,900 and Rs 43,180 for 16GB and 32GB variants respectively. On the other hand, Ativ S, which is reportedly arriving in India in December is listed by online retailers – Infibeam and Ezoneonline without a price tag.
