Samsung recently announced the Galaxy S4 Active, a high-end waterproof smartphone, last week but now surprisingly the S4 Active has been leaked out in another color, Blue Arctic.
The handset has appeared in the combination of specific shade of blue combined with the hint of black on the top and bottom.
The latest Blue Arctic variant of S4 Active is likely to sport a 4.99 inch LCD screen and would offer a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and 443 PPI pixel density. There is an 8-megapixel rear camera, and most importantly dust and water resistance with an IP67 protection rating. That means the phone is completely dust proof and will function normally even when you submerge it in water as deep as 1 meter and hold it for as long as 30 minutes. The device will run on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean platform layered with the company's TouchWiz UI.
The rugged S4 Active differs from the flagship S4 not just in its resistance to the elements, but also because it uses an LCD screen instead of AMOLED, and an 8-megapixel camera instead of a 13-megapixel one.
Comparing the device with its predecessor Galaxy S4 Active in Orange color, online reports have speculated other features likely to come in this Arctic Blue variant of Galaxy S4 Active. It is expected to come with 2-megapixel front facing snapper. Reportedly, the device would be powered by quad core 1.9GHz processor which would be supported by 2GB RAM. Samsung Galaxy S4 Active also includes a 16GB of built in storage expandable via microSD. Connectivity options include integrated NFC, 2G, 3G, LTE, GPRS, EDGE, WLAN, Bluetooth, Infrared Port and USB as well. Samsung has pointed out the useable storage on the device which is 11.25GB. The Samsung Galaxy S4 Active is powered by a 2600mAh Lithium-Ion battery.
However there are no mentions of price and availability as the leaked variant of Galaxy S4 Active as of now.
