Samsung Electronics is one of the leading Android smartphone manufacturers to challenge the likes of iOS creator Apple and other smartphone heavyweights in the market including Nokia, Sony and HTC with its latest flagship device - Samsung Galaxy S3.
However, now the South Korean giant seems to be in the spotlight again for the successor of Galaxy S3- the Samsung Galaxy S4, which has already gathered rave reviews in the international market after its launch in US market on March 14.
Well, the South Korean behemoth is now coming for its Indian fans. Yes! Samsung Galaxy S4 is getting ready for its official debut in the Indian market really soon. The Samsung Galaxy lovers can expect the Upacked event to take in the nation in about a couple of weeks time.
Already rumors in the past had suggested, that Samsung would launch the device sometime in April and will release the handset on May 15, 2013. At the same time, many e commerce sites are also taking pre order of the smartphone including Tradus @ Rs 999 and also online retailer Saholic had listed the beast, where it informed that the device will start shipping around 15/05/2013.
But at the same time, no pricing information has been revealed by Samsung so far. One of the online retailers has listed S4 for a whooping Rs. 59,900, which is after all too expensive even for high-end premium users. But expected estimates are falling around Rs 40,000 to Rs 45,000, somewhere around the pricing of HTC One.
Coming to specifications, Galaxy S4 boasts 5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display with 441ppi accompanied by Corning's new Gorilla Glass 3. The brand new phone also comes with the capability of glove technology. Further, it is equipped with 1.6GHz Exynos Octa-core chip, however, it can also come with 1.9GHz quad-core Qualcomm, in India. Moreover, it packs 2GB RAM, 13 MP Camera, 2,600mAh battery and Android 4.2.2 out-of-box.
The camera of the device comes with f/2.2 aperture and autofocus, front-facing camera is 2MP this time and it features the 'Dual Camera' function that allows simultaneous use of both front and rear cameras.
On the Connectivity front, Galaxy S4 has WiFi 802.11ac, a/b/g/n, an IR blaster providing remote control access using Samsung's WatchON service, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 + LE and also MHL 2.0.
