Gee Pee Mobile: Gee Pee Gold Vs Gee Pee Sparkz
Gee Pee mobile has an extensive support and after sales network to cater to its prestigious customers and they even have their own R&D facility which was set up keeping in mind an ambitious vision to be the 1st “Zero Complaint Mobile Phone" in the country. They have a slew of models slated for 2011 launch and today we preview 2 of those upcoming phones.
The models are Gee Pee Sparkz and Gee Pee Gold. Let us get into the comparison of the Gold and Sparkz. Both are normal bar type phones with small displays and having support for a variety of multimedia features such as music playback, audio recording, video playback and recording. They are highly competitive phones and are expected to provide stiff competition to phones from manufacturers like Micromax, Maxx Mobiles, Spice Mobiles and Videocon.
Both the Sparkz and Gold are aimed at youth and offers interesting specifications. Both the models have a standard digital camera that offers digital zoom. They are also capable of video recording. However due to the poor rating of the camera, the image and video quality may fall below standard levels. The display of both the phones offers nothing great but the design of both the phones is somewhat ergonomic and the keypads are generously spaced and well laid out.
On the connectivity specs, both these phones from Gee Pee mobile have the latest in technology laden features like 3G and Wi-Fi. The Sparkz has a 2.1 version of Bluetooth with A2DP compared to the Bluetooth 2.0 version support of the Gold.
The Gee Pee Gold has dedicated music keys which are missing in the Sparkz. But both the phone models support a large variety of media formats such as MP3, MP4, WAV, WMV and AAC+. But the Gee Pee Sparks is slightly ahead in terms of audio output with an inbuilt larger amplifier cum speaker.
The Sparkz and the Gold come with an internal memory of around 45 MB and both support external memory expansion of up to 16 GB with a Micro SD slot. The phones also have high speed internet connectivity via 3G but lacks video calling because of absence of front camera.
The prices of both these models from Gee Pee mobile are yet to be announced and that seems to be the only fact that is going to separate them because in all other aspects it is almost a tie between the Gee Pee twins - Gee Pee Sparkz and the Gee Pee Gold.
