GFive has slashed prices of its mobile phones

Mobile handsets with awesome specifications, stunning looks and brilliant designs, manufactured by a number of popular firms and others which are growing in popularity have appeared and conquered the market last year. Apart from the great specifications, a few of these mobile handsets also sported latest technologies as well, which would be of great use to the users. G’Five, a Chinese mobile handset manufacturing company, also made a few launches, becoming a bit popular in India as well.

But with the end of 2011, mobile phone manufacturers are competing with each other to dominate this year, by adding some attractive features to their mobile handsets. While most firms started devising strategies and putting them into action, G’Five gave the biggest surprise to mobile handset lovers, this New Year.

G’Five has reportedly decided to cut down the price tags of its mobile handsets. If you think this isn’t a big deal as G’Five isn’t pretty popular, you are wrong. G’Five is one of the biggest and most reputed manufacturers of handsets in China. G’Five handsets have great quality and pretty nice features to go with a brilliant design. They look simple but stylish. G’Five is probably thinking about achieving a large volume business in India by cutting the prices of their handsets from 10% to up to 30% of the original price.

As per statistics and reports from G’Five, its lowest priced handset model has a price tag of under Rs 1,000/- in India while high end handset models are priced around Rs 4,500/- in India. Actually G’Five handsets were categorized as affordable handset with all the features you would need in your handsets. Compared to the handsets from bigger firms like Samsung, Nokia etc, even the high end handsets from G’Five have reasonable price tags.

G’Five’s lowest priced handsets have 1.8 inch touchscreens, music players, and even cameras. They cost only under Rs 1,000/- now. G’Five’s high end projector handsets which used to have an Rs 6,000/- or higher price tag is now priced at Rs 4,500/- as part of G’Five’s New Year strategy. As per the company sources, G’Five came up with this strategy because it thought it can reach to a wider audience if it reduces the prices of its handsets while other companies focus on bringing in more handsets with increasing price tags.

G’Five can afford such a price slash as it manufactures every component of the phone itself, unlike many other firms which buy components for their handsets from popular component manufacturers.
