Gionee Elife E6 Coming in India By August 20: A Big Threat to Galaxy S4 and Micromax Canvas 4?

Gionee announced their latest flagship Smartphone adding another to the ELIFE series called ELIFE E6 today. Gionee claims ELIFE E6 to be the world's first White OGS phone featuring 2.54mm thin bezel and 6.18mm slim profile. However going by the specifications, the 5.0 inch Full HD 1080P Retina Display.

The phablet comes with a 441ppi pixel density and super bright AMOLED. One of the features on ELIFE E6 is that it automatically reduces 80% of sunlight reflection and increases the brightness of images by 20%, bringing clarity and sharpness in the images. Full Lamination Technology allows 20% reduction in overall thickness and Light Transmittance increased by 10%.

Moreover, the handset is powered with a 1.5 GHz quad-core Cortex-A7 Main CPU and MediaTek MT6589T chipset and runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system Layered with Amigo UI. The phablet is also supported by a 2 GB RAM.

Camerawise, 5 incher ELIFE E6 boasts an industry-leading camera that sports the second generation Backside Illumination Technology, anti-reflection coatings, anti-fingerprint film and finishes off with 5 layers of blue glasses, giving it its powerful 13MP rear camera that can also take 1080P full HD video recording. Its 5MP front-facing camera comes with 12 levels of auto beauty effects, object tracing focus, instant facial beauty support and more. The device comes with a modified Android ROM software that allows users to quickly and easily capture high quality images and videos.

Connectivity options include 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth and GPS. And the handset comes with the internal staorage capacity of 32GB.

The latest phablet measures 144 x 69 x7.7mm in dimension and is powered by a non-removable 2020mAh battery.

ELIFE E6 also comes packed with a DTS 3D stereo surround sound and Integrated Sound Camber Box and Dual Mic Noise-cancelling Technology. More over, it comes with the premium gesture control features that enables users to answer phones by directly raising it up to their ears and more. ELIFE E6 will come in a Pearl White and Stunning Black color variant with matching color cases.

ELIFE E6 will be available in China from Mid July 2013 while in India, the company official told GizBot exclusively, that it will hit the shelves by third week of August 2013, most probably by August 20 at an approximate price of Rs. 26,000.

ELIFE E6 can be a direct threat to the high end Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One among others and looking at the gesture control Micromax Canvas 4 and S4 is likely be thrashed as ELIFE E6 will be price between the price range of Canvas 4 and Galaxy S4.
