Gionee Elife E6 Hands On: First Look
When a Japanese brand enters into India, the first impression of an Indian consumer is like this "Incredible". Without knowing the quality of a smartphone, we often jump into a conclusion. But if a Chinese tech vendor plans to make India - its next big market; questions are being asked about the authenticity. There is a big problem with Indian consumers, when it comes to a Chinese smartphone marker. Most of the users have a pre-conceived notion about "Made in China "handsets. Flea markets such as Palika Bazaar or Gaffar market are still hot spot for cheap Chinese phones despite Indian Government banned lower-cost Chinese phones without valid IEMI numbers. Yes, China -based tech vendors need to educate Indian consumers in a big way, only then one can guarantee the success.

If GizBot say, there is a company who continues to excel in designing to manufacturing to marketing handsets. This tech vendor has been rated as the second most visible smartphone brand in China. Can you name the brand? We are talking about Gionee, the makers behind bestseller handset - Elife E3. What is so special about the brand? Well, when GizBot recently interacted with Gionee's India-based associate - Arvind R. Vohra, Director, Syntech Technology Pvt. Ltd ; it all together gave us a different impression of this new age Chinese handset manufacturer. We paid a visit to Gionee office based out of New Delhi recently and checked out yet to be launched Gionee Elife E6. So, here's a first look post dedicated to Gionee Elife E6: Design, Display, Build Quality, OS, Servicing and More. Take a look!
Design, Display, and Aesthetics
It feels great to carry compassionately designed handsets. Isn't it? Probably why, GizBot is so impressed with Gionee ELife E6. When Vohra told us about the strict measures being taken to make Gionee handsets; we immediately realized a lot went into making sophisticated telecommunication equipment. Moving on to the Elife E6, it's a different breed all together. Once you hold the device, it is impossible if one not resisted by touching once." Insanely natural ", is one word that syncs with Gionee Elife E6 in a perfected manner.
The device has a 5-inch Full HD powered by OGS (One Glass Solution) touch screen sensor technology. We tried to check color saturation and viewing angles produced by razr sharp 5-inch Full HD 1080p display. Time was limited enough although to scrutinize Elife E6. Still, whatever we observed was stunning. If Gionee Elife E6 comes at a price tag of Rs. 25,000, then definitely GizBot would not hesitate in recommending this beast to our readers.
Talking about the design and aesthetics, the Elife E6 has a square shape design with bezel-less outlook. It reminds of Xperia Z for a second, but soon you realize that the designer over at Gionee enhanced the design by smoothing the edges. That's why the phone edges are clean and flat.

The handset feels just right, when you hold it - nice and calm. The speakers have been placed at the bottom of the phone alongside mini USB 2.0 port and a microphone. On the right-hand of the device, a volume rocker is clearly visible. On the top of the device comes a power button and 3.5mm headphone jack. The Elife E6 is not expandable via microSD card. It sports 32GB of fixed internal memory. As many as three microphones have been used to give crystal clear noise-free sound. There's a 5-mega pixel front facing camera with 28mm wide angle lens. Even front facing camera is capable of recording videos in Full HD resolution. The phone measures 7.9mm in terms of thickness and weighs 128grams.
