Gionee Elife S5.1 Thinnest Smartphone Made Officially Available At Rs 18,999 in India

It hasn't been long since Gionee launched Elife S5.1 in India. Although, it was first announced earlier this year, in India the phone was recently showcased at the Plugged In event held in Bangalore. Today, however, the company has marked the official availability of the thin-profile handset.

The Gionee Elife S5.1 comes in White, Black, Blue and Pink colors in India and is priced at Rs. 18,999 (MOP). While it was scheduled to go on sale across India in the first week of December, it seems like the company has delivered in tune with its promise.

The Gionee Elife S5.1 comes with a 4.8-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) AMOLED display. It is powered by a 1.7 GHz Octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor with Mali 450-MP4 GPU coupled with 1GB RAM.

The smartphone runs on Amigo 2.0 (based on Android 4.4 Kitkat). The slim phone houses 16GB of internal memory but lacks on MicroSD card slot. The device measures 139.8×67.4×5.15mm and weighs 100grams and employs an 8MP rear camera with LED flash along with a 5MP front-facing snapper.

The smartphone also houses a DTS surround sound with connectivity options like 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, USB OTG and GPS. The Gionee Elife S5.1 is powered by a 2100mAh battery.
