The smartphone measures just 145.1 x 70.2 x 5.55mm and weighs like feather. The best part the handset fits perfectly in your grip. Further, the entire phone is wrapped with cornering Gorilla Glass, which makes it look very neat and smooth. Also a notice-worthy aspect of the S5.5's design is that its aluminum frame adds another piece of marvel that indicates the hard work that company has done to make the Elife S5.5 look better.
The display of the Gionee Elife S5.5 is not ordinary in anyway but is potent enough to rival the current generation of all the premium devices. It features a 5-inch Full HD (1,920x1,080 pixels) Super AMOLED display which churns out the pixel density of 441 ppi. The viewing angels are pretty good and there is no image distortion in any way. The color output of the display is impressive. Moreover, the display of the Gionee Elife S5.5 is very much similar to the Samsung's Galaxy S4 smartphone.
The device is altogether very neat with buttons alignment and placement very clean. Both volume rocker and power button is placed at the right side of the phone while the left side only features a micro SIM card tray. On the top part there is a proximity sensor and a front facing camera and the bottom bezel is occupied by capacitive touch keys viz. Menu, Home and Back buttons. Talking about the bezel, it is not as thin as it should have been.
