Gionee Elife S5.5: World’s Slimmest Smartphone To Launch in India on March 30

Whether in India or Internationally, China's Gionee has proven its mettle time and again in the handset market. The company has toiled hard to create epic phones to stay relevant in the highly competitive smartphone business.

Where established brands such as Samsung or Sony have failed to create a benchmark, Gionee has managed to deliver an impressive show.

Not long ago, we saw the company announce the world's slimmest smartphone at this year's Mobile World Congress (MWC). No doubt, the Gionee Elife S5.5 (5.5mm thin) easily beats the previous record holder, the Huawei Ascend P6 (6.14mm), in the slimmest category.

Since its official launch, the rumor land has been abuzz with gossips surrounding the launch of Elife S5.5 in India.

On Monday, the firm itself ended the curiosity by sending an invitation to attend the launch of Elife S5.5 on March 30th and March 31st in Goa, India. It seems that the official launch will happen on Monday, March 31st.

The phone's official price and retail availability will most likely to be announced on the event itself.
