After launching devices like Elife E6 and CTRL V4, Chinese phone maker Gionee is set to take on the Indian smartphone market with the launch of its latest budget smartphone in the country -- Gionee P2.
Officially launched today, Gionee P2 will be the first handset in the country to utilize a Mtek 6572 1.3 GHz Dual Core processor, which according to the company, has been engineered to excel at performing functions related to multimedia, data consumption and more. Furthermore, the Gionee P2 will use a 4 inch display and run Android OS v 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box. Apart from this, the phone will also ship with the company's in-house professional music player.
A 5MP camera will be used for imaging along with a front-facing secondary camera. The device offers an abundant 4GB of internal memory, which can be expanded by another 4GB using microSD cards. Apart from this, the phone also comes with a 1700 mAH battery.
Gionee P2 will be available starting today in White and Black colors at a price of Rs 6,499.
