Gionee Pioneer P4 Now Available Online For Rs 9,800: Specs and Price

Chinese smartphone maker Gionee has been phenomenally attaining more popularity in India in a very short span of time. With the launch of the Gionee Elife E7, the company has already made its presence felt in the high-end market. Also the company has surprised the entire market with its latest smartphone the Elife S5.5, the slimmest phone in the world. This one also falls in the high-end category. Gionee has also released the mini variant of the Elife E7 and the best thing about this phone is that it comes with a magnificent 13MP swivel camera.

Now adding adding another device in the affordable range Gionee has today unleashed its latest Pioneer 4 smartphone in the Indian market via a third party online retailer eBay at the price of Rs. 9,800. Th device was officially launched a couple of months ago and the aforementioned price might not be the official one.

However, the successor of the Gionee's Pioneer 3 is not a bad deal altogether as it comes with a 4.5-inch capacitive touch screen display offering a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels.

It is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor coupled with 1GB RAM. It runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) OS.

In the imaging front the device uses a 5MP Auto Focus rear Camera with LED flash also capable of HD video recording. Users will also find a 2MP front-facing snapper in the device.

Gionee offers a 8GB of internal memory in the device which can be further expanded up to 32GB via micro SD.

Connectivity options remain regular with the inclusion of 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth and GPS. There is also a Dual SIM (GSM + GSM) with Dual Standby support in the device.

The device which measures 9.05 mm thick and weighs 128.7 grams draws its energy from a massive 1800 mAh battery.

The smartphone will have a tough time in the Indian market as there are number of devices which come with similar specs and pricing. Moreover, it will fight with a Nokia X, and other devices from Indian smartphone vendors.
