Gionee has been phenomenal in making the thinnest phones and apparently it looks like now it wants to master the craft of packing the maximum capacity battery in a smartphone phone as well. Just yesterday, the company launched its latest smartphone - the Marathon M3 with a massive 5000mAh battery capacity and, now, another device with a heavy cell has been spotted on the Chinese certification site - TENAA.
Dubbed as V183 which seems to be a lower mid-range device is the one which is being questioned here. However, don't mind the low or mid-range phrase here, since it is a device with a 4.5-inch TFT display offering a resolution of 854x480 pixels (218 PPI).
As far as the specs of the device is concerned, the upcoming Gionee smarthone, according to the TENAA listing is powered by 1.3 GHz quad core CPU coupled with 1 GB of RAM. The listing doesn't reveal the OS, but you can expect Android KitKat version to run on the new Gionee smartphone.
The Gionee V183 houses an 8GB of internal storage, which apparently can be expanded up to 32 GB via microSD card. The cameras are also not made to impress, as the main snapper has a 5 MP sensor, while the face cam has only a 0.3 MP resolution.
However, there is a 4,000 mAh battery, which should be able to last the handset around 3 days, before charging is required. Don't expect the phone to be thin as well.
Other details about the phone are yet to be revealed and there is no word on the availability of the handset at the moment. However, GizBot will be keeping the track of the device and will let you know more as soon as any updates appear. Until then, stay tuned!
