Google's flagship Nexus 6 is finally made available into India, and it sports a majestic QHD screen. The Nexus 5 was manufactured by LG, but this time around Google chose Motorola to design the Nexus 6.
However, on the other hand, Sony's flagship Xperia Z3 is equally enticing. The brilliant looking handset is loaded with killer features, plus it comes compatible with your PS4.

Both the Google Nexus 6 and Sony Xperia Z3 have been received well in the market. Google has set a new benchmark with the Nexus 6, while the Xperia Z3 is thinner and lighter than its predecessor.
Again, both handsets are classic examples of the best that Android has to offer. But which one is the better flagship smartphone?
Google Nexus 6 Vs Sony Xperia Z3: Design and Build
The Nexus 6 is a huge phone which looks a lot like the Moto X (2014). Notably, the Nexus 6 has a curved back and the same metallic edges around the sides of the phone, as seen on the Moto X (2014). The Nexus 6 measures 10.06 mm and 184grams.
The Z3 has added a brushed aluminum frame and rubberized plastic bumpers on the corners. Being a camera centric handset, it includes a dedicated shutter button. The front and back are still made up of glass, but it's pretty much looks the same as its predecessor. The Sony Xperia Z3 measures 7.3 mm and 152 grams.
Google Nexus 6 Vs Sony Xperia Z3: Display
The Google Nexus 6 sports a mammoth 5.96-inch 2,560 x 1,440 resolution display, giving it a pixel density of 493ppi (pixels per inch).

Google Nexus 6 Vs Sony Xperia Z3: Processor
The Nexus 6 has an updated Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor which has newer Krait 450 cores and is clocked at a 2.7 GHz. It also has 3GB of RAM fitted inside.
In case of the Xperia Z3, the processor remains the quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801, although it is clocked higher at 2.5GHz. There's a healthy 3GB of RAM. It has the Adreno 330 GPU.
Google Nexus 6 Vs Sony Xperia Z3: Storage
The Google Nexus 6 has no expandable storage but you can buy it in either 32 or 64 GB models.
The Sony Xperia Z3, on the other hand, comes in 16 GB, but it offers microSD card support which can be expanded up to 128 GB.
Google Nexus 6 Vs Sony Xperia Z3: Software
The Nexus 6 comes with Android 5.0 Lollipop, which is the latest version of Android mobile OS.
The Xperia Z3 comes pre-installed with Android 4.4 KitKat but Sony has already promised an upgrade to Lollipop next year. The device uses Sony's home baked layer on top of Android. The UI is close to Android. The handset is also support by PS4 Remote Play feature.
Google Nexus 6 Vs Sony Xperia Z3: Camera

Meanwhile, the Xperia Z3 has a 20.7-megapixel rear-facing camera with a dedicated shutter button. Like the Nexus 6, the Sony-made phone can record video in 4K format. The Xperia Z3 has a slightly improved 2.2MP front-facing shooter.
Google Nexus 6 Vs Sony Xperia Z3: Connectivity and Extras
Both these devices have front facing stereo speakers. However, the Xperia Z3 also has support for noise cancelling (with the decent headphones) and High-Res audio.
Both come with 11ac dual-band Wi-Fi, GPS and NFC. The Nexus 6 does have Bluetooth 4.1 while the Z3 comes with v4.0.The Nexus 6 has Cat 6 4G (300Mbps) while the Z3 has Cat 4 (150Mbps).
Google Nexus 6 Vs Sony Xperia Z3: Battery and Verdict
The Nexus 6 has a 3,200mAh battery and the Z3 a 3,100 mAh battery. Let's not forget that the Nexus 6 has a bigger display to power.
The Nexus 6 is now in India. It will cost Rs. 43,999 for the 32GB model and Rs. 49,999 for 64GB. Meanwhile, the Sony Xperia Z3 is priced around Rs. 47,999.
Sure, the Xperia Z3 appears to be slightly expensive compared to the Nexus 6. Given the Xperia Z3's amazing camera and water proof/dust resistant chassis - the device deserves a high price tag.
