Tomorrow is indeed a big day for both Facebook and its chosen partner - HTC. The social networking giant is set to present a custom version of Android dubbed as Facebook Home. For smooth buttery experience, HTC is giving its hardware vehicle, for better precision experience. Few hours ago, the first look of the device was apparently leaked on the internet. Known by the name of' HTC First ', the alleged shot was revealed by Twitter sensation @evleaks.
It was speculated that the device would be similar to iPhone in terms of styling, and loaded features. Going by the leaked image, the handset will carry three standard Android buttons below its 4-inch display. As the clock is ticking more juicy information is coming. The latest buzz is that 'HTC First' will flaunt four different colours (via @evleaks). The original black one was leaked recently.
Other color options include: Red, White, and Cyan. In other news, the much hyped device will have connected lock screen that will display instant Facebook feeds. It will be known by the name of UberFeed. The patent has been filed with the same name as well. As per patent details "Display Dynamic Contents on Locked Screens " - in short- UberFeed will be capable to show your recent feeds , shared pictures , news, among others. The type of content shown in an UberFeed is user specific. There is another cool feature (filed as patent) of so -called 'Facebook Home 'and that will help users to identify callers profile (sort of).
If this is not enough, yet another patent application was filed back. And that was related to your privacy. Call it as social mode that can be easily switched off depending upon user's preference. There is a camera app too. The instant sharing of photos on the social networking site is one of the talked features. And other camera app feature speaks about "Computer- Vision- Assisted Location Accuracy Augmentation", is basically about auto-tagging persons in the images.
HTC First - Specifications and features
The HTC First, as the name suggests, will be the first handset under Facebook- HTC agreement. The handset will have following rumored specifications: a 4.3-inch 720p display, Qualcomm Snapdragon dual -core processor, 1GB of RAM, a 5-mega pixel rear camera, a front facing camera, HTC Sense 4.5 and Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. Obviously, the device will be deeply synced with Facebook. It is not known whether the handset is made or targeted at specific country. Stay tuned to GizBot.
