Since the launch of the HTC One, rumors are rife of a mid-range smartphone that might come packed with UltraPixel camera. The handset is none other than M4, which was speculated to be similar to HTC First, but without the Facebook Home launcher.
Now, it looks like a mid-range offering similar to HTC One is all set to be launched in China. According to a report by Digi.Tech, an approval from Telecommunication Equipment Certification Centre in China confirms the presence of one such handset.
As per the report, HTC 606w might boast a 4.3 inch display, 1.2GHz dual core Snapdragon 400 chipset, 2GB RAM, Adreno 305 GPU, 16GB internal storage, UltraPixel camera, 1.6MP front camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS + GLONASS, dual SIM support and a 1,700 mAh battery. Besides, these specifications, HTC 606w runs on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS with Sense 5.0 UI.
Also, the report shows a render of the handset showing it with a blue piping around the bezel. Further, the UltraPixel camera will allow more light to come into the camera sensor for clearer and sharper shots, even under low-light conditions.
Moreover, as HTC 606w has gained regulatory approval, it might be launched in the country shortly. However, it is unknown whether or not HTC will launch the handset elsewhere.
