HTC the Taiwanese tech giant unveiled a couple of flagship smartphones – 8X and 8S in mid-September and also announced them for the Indian market in the first week of November 2012 alongside Android based One X+ and Desire SV smartphones.
Further, the official press release claimed that HTC 8X will be available for purchase at a price of Rs 35,032 from mid-November, but, the specific release date was not disclosed.
Now, HTC 8X has been listed for pre-order on Flipkart, one of the leading e-commerce websites in India. The listing claims that the handset is available in Blue and Red color options and that it is estimated to be released in the third week of November.
The website is offering convenient payment options including EMI plans, 30 day replacement guarantee and more for the convenient of consumers.
As far as the specifications are concerned, 8X includes a 4.3-inch Super LCD 2 display with 1280 x 720 pixel resolution, 1.5GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4, 8MP rear camera, 2.1MP front camera, 16GB internal memory, 512MB RAM, microSD card slot for memory expansion up to 32GB, 1,800 mAh Li-Po battery, Beats Audio integration, NFC, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi features.
When it comes to the US pricing of HTC 8X, Verizon and AT&T are offering the 16GB variant of the handset for a price of $550 without a contract, which translates to Rs 34,000 approximately in India. However, the Indian pricing of the handset is Rs 35,032, which is significantly higher.
