HTC 8X: White Color Variant of Windows Phone 8 Handset Spotted in the Wild

A good news for all HTC 8X fans out there! The Windows Phone 8 handset which was released in California Blue, Graphite Black, Flame Red and Limelight Yellow color variants is likely to get a new color option, that is, White.

This can be said as a new picture has been posted by HTC on its official Twitter page displaying a new White HTC 8X with the message "Sometimes you just need to tune it all out. Let us help".

Though, there is no confirmation from the company's end to be coming up with White 8X, however, the device shown in the picture flaunts rounded corners, rear camera and the flash, which hints HTC 8X like smartphone.

HTC, the Taiwanese tech firm with slumping revenues seems to be constantly working on refreshing its lineup with new concepts every now and then. The company has covered almost all aspects of the high-end and mid-range smartphone segment including Android and Windows Phone operating systems.

Back in September 2012, HTC unveiled its two Windows Phone 8 based flagship smartphones - HTC 8X and HTC 8S. These smartphones were released in India in November 2012, which is a few days after the release of the platform with price tags of Rs 35,032 and Rs 19,359 respectively.

As far as the specifications are concerned, 8X includes a 4.3-inch Super LCD 2 display with 1280 x 720 pixel resolution, 1.5GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4, 8MP rear camera, 2.1MP front camera, 16GB internal memory, 512MB RAM, microSD card slot for memory expansion up to 32GB, 1,800 mAh Li-Po battery, Beats Audio integration, NFC, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi features.

Unfortunately, there are no official confirmation on the availability of the white variant of HTC 8X, however, tech pundits are anticipating it as a special edition of the smartphone.
