There's yet another reason to watch out Taiwanese giant HTC at this year's Mobile World Congress (MWC). With the HTC One 2 set to launch on March 25, the makers have might have planned to showcase the much hyped, the HTC A5 (Desire 8) at the upcoming MWC 2014.
It is widely assumed that the HTC Desire 8 (A5) will be announced for the Chinese market on February 24. But at the same time, we have started hearing that HTC could announce a global version of Desire 8 aka HTC A5 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) next week.
Popular leakster @evleaks, a trusted source when it comes to authentic leaks, has revealed the internal hardware of HTC A5.
HTC A5: What about specs?
The Android powered phone will possibly feature with a 5.5-inch Super LCD2 (720p) display, which seems fine for a mid-range phone. Further, the handset may come with a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with a single LED Flash , and a 5MP shooter on the front.
Under the hood, we can expect a 1.6 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 (MSM8928) processor, backed by 1.5GB of internal memory and 8GB of internal storage, which can be expanded via a microSD card slot.
Like the HTC One, the HTC A5 will incorporate dual frontal speakers with BoomSound and built-in amplifiers. The HTC A5 is said to run Android 4.4 Kitkat with Sense 6.0 on the top of it.
Rumor has it that the large size phablet will arrive in Black, White, Red, Purple and Yellow colors.
HTC A5: Release date
Well, if rumors are to be believed then expect the device to get official next week at MWC 2014. We don't know whether the HTC A5 will ever make into Indian market or not.
If the said device ever comes to India, then it will most likely to give tough competition to Sony Xperia T2 Ultra. Expect the HTC A5 to be priced under Rs. 33,000 in Indian market.
