Mid Range Battles: HTC ChaCha Vs Motorola Milestone
With the ever growing Android frenzy manufacturers of mobile handsets especially Smartphones seem to be taking competition to a new level. The evolution of Android has resulted in Smartphones becoming cheaper than ever before and hence users are provided with a wide variety of choices of Phones which suit their budget.

The key players in the Smartphone segment have all been very busy in the past incorporating new technologies and concepts in their Smartphones in order to make their products stand out from the rest in terms of higher quality and better customer satisfaction. Smartphones can now be found in the mid range market as well and today we compare two mid range Smartphones from HTC and Motorola,

The models under study are HTC ChaCha and Motorola Milestone. Both are Android based Smartphones that are aimed at the middle class society and are packed with all the gadgetry required to satisfy the needs of its potential buyers. Now let us take a closer look at the two.

HTC ChaCha feature is it is a touch and type phone that features a 2.6 inch capacitive touch screen display in addition to a physical QWERTY keypad whereas Motorola Milestone feature is it is a full capacitive touch screen based phone that has a larger display size of 3.7 inches which gives it the advantage of better visual clarity. The Milestone also has a physical sliding QWERTY keypad that tucks away neatly under the display screen.

HTC ChaCha and Motorola Milestone features offer good quality multimedia specs and has support for different and large number of media file formats like MP3, MP4, WMV, WAV, AAC+ and even high definition h263 and h264 video formats. Neither of the phones have an FM radio which is slightly disappointing as FM is found today on almost all types of phones including budget phones.

Both the phones have a powerful 5 mega pixel rear camera with LED flash that takes superb snaps of all your precious moments and also facilitates video recording. But Motorola Milestone offers high definition 720p video recording as compared to the VGA recording capability of HTC ChaCha. But on the flip side Milestone does not offer a secondary front camera for video calling whereas ChaCha offers it.

On the connectivity sides both offer pretty much everything from Bluetooth to Wi-Fi and from GPRS to high speed 3G internet access technology.

HTC ChaCha is priced at Rs 15500 whereas Motorola Milestone will cost around Rs 17400. But for a slightly higher price tag the Milestone is a better choice as compared to the ChaCha.
