The HTC Desire 816, which has received more than 1 million pre-orders in China, could bring the troubled company back in good shape.
Buoyed by the pre-hype surrounding around the Desire 816, HTC might bring three new mid-end phones in China. Yes, you heard it right!
Although HTC has confirmed that the Desire 816 will go on sale in China shortly, but the company also has plans to release handsets under mid-segment, dubbed Desire 516t, Desire 516w and Desire 316, if the latest report is to be believed.
The Desire 516, for that matter, is expected to launch in two different variants: Desire 516t and Desire 516w.
The HTC Desire 516 will feature a 5-inch qHD display (560 X 940), a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 5MP rear-facing camera with a single LED Flash and a VGA camera. The phone will run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box.
As said earlier, the Desire 516 will be made available in two versions. The Desire 516t features the same specs as the above, while the Desire 516w is expected to incorporate a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.
Both the HTC Desire 516 handsets are expected to hit China first, followed by worldwide debut.
Moreover, according to a new report, HTC is prepping to announce the Desire 316. The purported handset will be a single-SIM variant of Desire 516. It will have a 5-inch qHD display and a 5MP rear-facing camera.
HTC will soon announce these above mentioned handsets in China. Watch this space for more action!
