HTC is apparently pretty busy getting the certification from its new devices from Chinese authority. Just recently, FCC equivalent of China - TENAA certified Desire D816h smartphone and now another device has passed through the same site.
The phone in question is the new variant of the recently launched Desire 820 smartphone. Dubbed as Desire 820us, the new smartphone sounds to be quite rich in power, however, there are few things that even the certification site doesn't reveal.
Via the listing on the TENAA, it is clear that the upcomoing Desire 820us comes packed with the latest MediaTek MT6752 chipset with an 8-core 64-bit CPU running at 1.7GHz coupled with 2GB of RAM. Interesting thing is that it comes with a similar design language that was used in the HTC One (M8). Moreover, it is quite thinner than that at 157.7 x 74.4 x 7.74mm. The phone uses a dual front facing speakers.
Other aspects leaked via the Chinese website are the 5.5-inch 720p IPS display and Android 4.4.4 KitKat.
In terms of photography, the upcoming HTC smartphone will sport a 13MP rear camera with a distinctive and large glass covering the lens. At the front, there will be a selfie-centric 8MP snapper. This should probably be able to compete with most of the selfie smartphone out there in the market currently.
There's an microSD card slot for expansion and the 16GB internal memory of the phone. The smartphone would be offered in black, white, gray, blue, orange, green and pink color options, according to the listing. What TENAA doesn't reveal is the battery capacity.
The Taiwanese smartphone maker has not revealed the pricing and availability of the device at the moment, but since it has already gone through TENAA, it is reasonable to suspect the HTC Desire 820us to go on sale in China in the coming month. No word on the international release.
