HTC Desire Eye Started Receiving Android 5.0.2 Update
Taiwan headset manufacturer HTC, has started rolling out the new Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update for Desire EYE. This Lollipop update is codenamed 2.19.709.1 build version and comes in a size of 1008.9MB. In this update, the company is not updating Sense UI to Sense 7 version, meanwhile keeping it to Sense 6.55.

LlabTooFer, a ROM developer, estimated that the Sense 7.0 UI will arrive with Android 5.1 update and will be made available for several existing models.

HTC Desire Eye, sports a 5.2-inch Full HD display with Corning Gorilla glass 3, with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.
This high-end smartphone is clocked at 2.3 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with Adreno 330 GPU alongside 2 GB of RAM. It also supports 16GB internal memory, with an expansion slot upto 128GB via microSD card.

Coming on to the imaging factor, it has 13MP rear camera with dual LED Flash, f/2.0, 28mm lens, 1080p HD recording, and 13MP front-facing camera with dual LED Flash, f/2.0, 22mm wide-angle lens which can be used to click quality selfies.

Eye has some options to fiddle around in the camera sections like Face Tracking, Screen Share, Split Capture, Face Fusion, Live Makeup, Auto Selfie, Voice Selfie, Photo Booth, Crop Me In.

Further on, with connectivity options it support, 4G LTE/ 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4 and 5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.0 with aptX codec, NFC and GPS with GLONASS and it is powered by 2400mAh battery.

On the other hand, Lollipop update comes with new material design which offers a bold, colorful and responsive UI, refreshing notification system.
It will also allow the users to see the notification in the lock screen and they will get displayed like banners on the top of the screen.

Additionally, there is a do-not-disturb feature added to the notification bar. This update also contains battery optimization, which includes battery saver mode, job scheduling and a new developer tool called Battery Historian which tracks the battery consumption by an application.
