HTC DIx Phablet Leaks Ahead of September 19 Launch Event: What 'Next' Features to Expect?

While the entire tech world is talking about the recently launch events of Samsung, Nokia and Apple and their newest device urwrapping -- Taiwanese phone vendor -- HTC is all geared to splash the global tech market with a new hefty phablet device, which already had started making rounds online since a couple of weeks.

The tech enthusiasts are anticipating that the One series creator will launch this new phablet on the September 19 special event to be held in New York City at 11AM EST. Hence, lets take a look at the latest speculatons which are surrounding this new device with model number HTC6435, codenamed “dlx.”

Recently HTCSource website has swirled the reports that the codename of the HTC phablet stands for Droid Incredible X and it will feature a larger 5 inch screen display size with 480ppi resolution. It is said to have a Quad-core Snapdragon S4 processor and 1.5 GB of RAM storage capacity. The internal memory storage is expected to be 16 GB. However, the information regarding the Android OS version is not confirmed. Although, HTC fans can hope either the latest Jelly Bean or Ice Cream sandwich to come on-board. Further, this rumored device is expected to be released on Verizon network in US market.

Reports in HTCSource also point out the latest HTC DIx device will feature a second notification LED in line designed for notifying users about calls and missed alerts. The slot for charging the device is being placed on the rear side of the device and near to the camera. Users can expect this device to be released as a successor to HTC’s highly successful One X phone in the US market.

However, the phablet will lack a microSD card slot for storage expansion and a non-removable battery and there is no confirmation on the presence of HTC Scribe Pen, which is definitely required to compete with the likes of original Samsung Galaxy Note, Galaxy Note 2 and LG phablet offerings in the international market.

Although, if the rumors come out to be true, the HTC DIx (HTC DROID Incredible X) will become one of the sizzling device to splash the tech world and will certainly make a lot of heads turn at the media event on September 19.
