HTC unveiled J Butterfly, the first smartphone from the company with a 5 inch full HD display in mid-December. J Butterfly will hit the retail shelves of the Japanese market by December this year. Now, the company seems to be ready with the US version of the handset as HTC and Verizon Wireless, a US carrier have sent out invites to the tech media world in US for a launch event on November 13.
According to a recent CNET report, the press event is slated to happen on November 13 at 11 a.m. in New York City. The report states that it could be the special press event in order to launch the Droid DLX smartphone, which will be the US version of J Butterfly.
What features to expect?
As Droid DLX is rumored to be the US version of J Butterfly, the handset analysts predict that it will have similar features and specifications including a 5 inch display with resolution of 1080 x 1920, which will total to a pixel density of 441 ppi. The handset will also come packed with quad core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, 8MP or 12MP rear camera, 2MP front facing camera for video calling, 2,500 mAh battery and Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean OS topped with HTC Sense 4+ UI. Further, the processor offers support to 4G LTE connectivity.
