Over the past months, we've heard a lot about a sequel to the HTC One (M8). In fact, we might be getting closer to the device, also known by its development codename "Hima".
The HTC Hima (M9) is tipped to arrive in the first half of 2015 and rumors are already starting to circulate about what it could bring to the table.
And while HTC is no stranger to competition, it will have to face rather stiff competition against the likes of Samsung, Xiaomi and Sony over this year to remain a challenger.
Although HTC hasn't given any official word on when they're likely to unveil the device; however, the company recently promised "huge surprise" in 2015 roadmap.
Here are some of the loudest rumors we know so far about the HTC Hima (M9). Stay tune to GizBot for more updates!
Screen Size May be Huge
This year, it is strongly rumored that HTC will announce a large screen sized flagship handset. The 5.5-inch "phablet" will have a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. The 5.5-inch handset is rumored to feature a one-handed feature, just like the iPhone 6 Plus. At the same time, some media reports also suggest that HTC will stick with a 5.0-inch FHD display, as found on the HTC One (M8).
Flagship To Feature High-End Specs
Among other improvements the HTC Hima (M9) is expected to include a speedier Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM, 16GB/32GB of native storage and a microSD card support, among other improvements.
The HTC Hima M9-- which, like the purported Galaxy S6, is rumored to come in superb camera. But this around we may not going to see an UltraPixel facing rear-camera. Rumors claim the handset to feature a 20.7MP rear-facing camera, alongside a 13-megapixel front-facing shooter.
Like its previous flagship phone, the HTC Hima (M9) is going to be a fashionable device. HTC will probably want to keep a premium design on the Hima M9, with a casing crafted out of aluminum. Upleaks tweeted that the Hima will come in silver, gold, and gray color options.
Finally, like the rumors around Samsung Galaxy S6, the One (M9) is also expected to launch in March at the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC). As always, dozens of other rumors abound, including a report that HTC could launch its next-gen handset at the CES in Las Vegas.
