HTC Ignite And Prime, 2 New Windows Phone 7.5 Devices From HTC Coming Soon
Following the footsteps of Toshiba, HTC is planning to launch not one but two Windows Phone 7.5 devices in the market very soon. Details about the 2 new mobile phones were released by Dutch Mobile store website but the information and specs posted were found to be deleted within hours as HTC must have warned them to not release any info about the devices before they are announced by HTC.
However several websites reported a lot of news regarding the phones and we managed to collect a few of them to provide you with the details.
The Phones are christened HTC Ignite and HTC Prime. Both the devices were photographed to have been equipped with front Windows buttons for possibly accessing the menu. The front buttons are expected to be capacitive in nature.
Now let us take a closer look at the specs and functionalities of the HTC Prime and HTC Ignite that were reported by several sites. But none of them can be confirmed unless HTC releases an official word about the devices and their specs.
The HTC Ignite looks like a derivative of the HTC Mozart and from the pictures revealed it seems that the phone will be equipped with a large 3.7 inch WVGA full touch screen display that is capacitive in nature. The HTC Ignite is expected to be propelled by a 1GHz processor and is rumored to be fitted with a powerful 5 Mega Pixel Camera that will facilitate high definition 720p video recording also. Based on its looks and specs, we assume the device will be up for grabs in the entry level Windows Phone Segment.
The HTC Prime on the other hand sports both a 3.7 inch capacitive full touch screen display in addition to a sliding physical QWERTY keypad. Other than this the Prime is expected to have the same 5 Mega Pixel camera with HD video recording capability as the HTC Ignite does. Other features of the Prime are not known.
The 2 phones might hit stores as soon as Microsoft officially launches the Windows Phone 7.5 OS and we expect them to be priced lower than the previous Windows based devices.
