With the release of the original Samsung Galaxy Note – the smartphone/tablet hybrid in 2011 and its successor – Galaxy Note 2 at the IFA 2012 in Berlin last month, all major manufacturers of the tech media world are working to unveil massive 5-inch devices to enter the competition in the phablet segment and pose a direct rivalry with the South Korean tech giant.
One of them is the Taiwanese phone vendor, whose HTC One X smartphone, already know as the 'King of Android' smartphones is giving a tough challenge to Samsung's biggest offering so far, the hottest selling Samsung Galaxy S3.
Now rumors are rife in the tech gossip world that on September 19, HTC is all geared up to launch a hefty Android handsets in the global market to compete with Samsung's major phablets.
Earlier, the tech world witnessed the front and back image leaks of the HTC's mysterious phablet, now the device is in news again. This time the image leak has come from the end of the Chinese tech website named Techorz, which shows the device boasting a big, wide screen and the location of the front facing camera. Also, the leak shows that the USB port along with a protective guard is at the bottom of the device.
The earlier image leak suggested that the phablet will come with a red accents and rim around the rear camera lens and three buttons below the display, hinting that it could run on Android 4.0.4 ICS OS.
as far as the other rumored specifications are concerned, the HTC's mysterious phablet is expected to have a 5 inch display with 1080p HD resolution, a quad-core Krait processor and an Adreno 320 GPU. Further the reports indicate that the upcoming smartphone will run on Android 4.0.4 ICS operating system while some reports claim that it will run on the latest version of Android – Jelly Bean. Also, the phablet will have an 8MP rear camera, and Beats Audio integration.
