HTC One Name Confirmed

Called M7 in earlier reports, the upcoming HTC smartphone was rumored to be named One, however, there were no confirmations on the same. With the snap taken at the Champions League football game between Celtic and Juventus, the name HTC One has been confirmed as the electronic billboard around the pitch showed it.

Ulrapixel camera

HTC is rumored to incorporate an ultrapixel camera in M7 aka One. Ultrapixel camera is a different type of sensor having three layers of 4.3MP sensors on each other to offer crisper and cleaner images with more accurate colors.

Further, one of the teasers showing a plethora of camera lenses hint that something innovative in terms of camera optics is in the pipeline. Also, the lens at the center shows the numbers 2, 19 and 13, that might be the date - February 19, 2013.

HTC Sense 5

According to a leaked image by @evleaks shown in the gallery below, HTC One has been captured running on an overhauled UI - Sense 5. The UI seems to have ditched the app selection button. The app selection button is responsible for multi-tasking and it helps in calling the running applications. Also, earlier rumors hint that the interface will be simple and clean without the aluminum ring lock gesture.

Moreover, the homescreen in the HTC Sense 5 interface appears to have tiles for Facebook updates and a minimalist clock widget. Usually, HTC uses Android skins and with this leaked screenshot, it appears that HTC has borrowed some design cues from Windows Phone 8 operating system for its new variant of UI.

4.7 Inch Super AMOLED 1080p Display

HTC One is rumored to be the first handset to incorporate 1080p resolution in a 4.7 inch display, which will give a density density of 468ppi. Considering these figures, it can be said that the content displayed on the screen will be of extraordinary quality.

1.7 GHz quad-core Krait Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro Processor

When it comes to the processor, HTC One is speculated to house a 1.7GHz quad-core Krait Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro chip with Adreno 320 GPU. This sounds pretty impressive and should handle all the challenging graphic elements and perform multi-tasking to an amazing level.

64GB Onboard Storage

Given that HTC One could come with such a powerful processor, it should be having a good and high capacity RAM to offer the compete benefit. Hence, the handset is claimed to come with 2GB RAM, which is common in many high-end smartphones and with 64GB internal storage, which should be sufficient even if there is no micro SD card slot.

M4 and G2 Launch?

Reports claim that HTC might also launch two more smartphones - M4 and G2 at the media event alongside HTC One. HTC M4 is rumored to boast a 4.3-inch screen with 720p resolution, 2GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, 13MP rear shooter and LTE support.

Also, HTC G2 is claimed to be an entry-level device with a 3.5-inch screen with HVGA display, 512MB RAM, 5MP camera, 1GHz processor and run on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS.

Price & Availability

According to some reports surfacing online, HTC might release One on March 8, 2013 and that the handset could be priced at €649 (approx. Rs 47,000).

Competition with Galaxy S4?

With the information that is being rumored, M7 aka One is claimed to offer a head-to-head challenge to Samsung Galaxy S4.

Speaking of rumored specifications, Samsung Galaxy S4, is speculated to boast a 4.99 inch AMOLED HD display along with 1920 x 1080 pixel of resolution accompanied with remarkable 441 ppi pixel density, 2GHz quad core Cortex A15 processor, 13MP rear camera, Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and 16GB/32GB/64GB/128GB internal storage options.
