HTC One (M8) Hands on and First Look: The Most Good Looking Android Smartphone is Here
HTC One (M8) - Software, UI, Processor and Battery
The HTC One (M8) runs Android 4.2.2 Kitkat with HTC's native UI on top. HTC would like to call it as Sense 6.0. The new version of Sense UI features new visuals and vibrant colors. It has been redesigned from scratch. Users can install their own fonts and personalize the device as wanted. The User interface is vastly integrated with Google-managed services and software.
The phone incorporates a quad-core processor coupled powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SoC, coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16/32GB of internal memory. Also, this time around HTC has given users an option to expand the internal memory up to 128GB via a microSD card slot. As far as device's performance is concerned, we cannot say much till the time we review it as per our standards.
HTC says the phone's 2,600mAh battery is even more power efficient than last generation. In fact, you can quick charge 80% charge of the battery in about 1 hour. The handset also comes built-in with extreme power saving mode, which extends battery life considerably.
HTC One (M8) - Camera
The HTC One (M8) continues the company's strong focus on smartphone camera capabilities. Dubbed the all new UltraPixelcamera, it's technically similar to the camera found on the M7. Now, we will get to see two rear-cameras instead of one. HTC like to call it as the duo camera setup.
