HTC One M8 in Pink and Red Now Official

As expected, the Taiwan-based premium smartphone maker HTC has now come up with a new color variant of its latest One M8 device. This is what the company, in fact, did for its first One smartphone last year along with the One Mini variant, which received a similar treatment as well.

Originally released in Gunmetal Gray, Glacial Silver and Amber Gold color models, the HTC One M8 in Pink has been officially announced in the UK. Moreover, the Red and Blue colored variants went on pre-order in the country, back in May. But don't be confused with the color as these new variants will retain the same specifications and brushed metal finish of the regular HTC One M8.

Talking about the availability, HTC fans in the UK should note that the Red HTC One M8 would be available only to O2 customers from August 5th on pre-sale and in-store from 7th August. However, the Pink M8 will be available exclusively from Carphone Warehouse from 7th August and available for pre-order from the 25th July.

Commenting on the new launch, Peter Frolund, UK and Nordics General Manager, HTC reportedly said, "We introduced a range of bold colors to the One family last year and their popularity is testament to how important it is for our users to be able to select a shade that suits their style. The HTC One (M8) impressed everyone with its unrivaled design and we decided to make it even better by offering even more choice when selecting the best smartphone in the world."

HTC One M8: Key Specifications

If you are not aware of the specs of the device, the HTC One M8 comes packed with a 5-inch Full HD display, Android 4.4.2 KitKat with the new HTC Sense 6.0 UI, Snapdragon 801 processor, 2GB RAM, 16/32GB internal memory, MicroSD slot, dual LED rear camera with dual flash, 5 MP front facing shooter and a non-removable 2,600 mAh battery.

HTC has not confirmed the new color variant of the One M8's availability in India and other markets.
