For HTC, a firm that has struggled to keep up to the ranks of Samsung and Apple, the acceptance of the One M8 shows sign of revival.
Though, the company hasn't shared first week sales figure for the One (M8), but a new report suggest the new phone is selling quite well.
Following the launch of HTC One (M8), HTC has already started working to launch a mini variant of the flagship phone, dubbed the HTC One M8 Mini
According to a new report, Taiwanese giant HTC will launch the HTC One M8 Mini in its native homeland by next month. There's no word yet on what the phone might retail but the original HTC One Mini was launched at Rs. 36,790 in India, so logically speaking the HTC One Mini M8 would cost the same.
The forthcoming mid-range device is expected to have a 4.5-inch 720p HD display, Under the hood, the makers could stuff a 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB of internal space ( expandable via a microSD card slot).
Rumor has it the HTC One Mini M8 runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat with Sense 6.0 UI on top of it. On the imaging front, the device will flaunt a 13MP rear-facing camera, and a 5MP front-facing shooter.
The original HTC One Mini wasn't been a huge success in any of the global markets, barring few select European territories. Therefore, HTC needs to pack insanely powerful hardware under the hood to justify the retail price of the HTC One Mini M8.
Besides the launch of the HTC One M8 Mini, the struggling company might reveal a plastic variant of the One (M8) in China next month with much lower price tag.
