The Windows Phone variant of the HTC One M8 smartphone has been leaked several times in the past and once again the device has hit the online world. This time around the device has been allegedly leaked by WPCentral.
The tech site has also confirmed the specs of the device. Moreover, it says that the HTC Dot View Case will also be available for the phone. Which means that users will be able to interact with their phone with the case closed, including voice assistant feature- Cortana integration.
As far as the specs are concerned, HTC is reportedly said to keep them unaltered. So basically you will get to see the same hardware in the Windows Phone variant of the One (M8).
To be precise, the HTC One M8 with Windows Phone OS will come with a 5-inch Full HD Super LCD3 display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and will churn out the pixel density of 441 ppi. It will be powered by a 2.3 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SoC coupled with 2 GB of RAM and will run on Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1 as said earlier.
A 4MP UltraPixel camera on the rear side of the device and a 5MP front-facing snapper will be in charge of photography. The smartphone will house a 32 GB internal storage and also feature a micro SD which will help expand the memory up to 128 GB.
The device will come with a nano SIM slot and will be powered by a 2600 mAh battery. Regular HTC hardware including HTC Boomsound and U-Focus can also be found in the handset. HTC One M8 for Windows is tipped to be 70.6 mm wide and 9.35 mm thick. Its weight is said to be 160 grams.
Talking about the availability of the smartphone, on August 19, HTC and Microsoft are holding a press event in New York City, which makes it pretty obvious that they will announce the HTC One with Windows Phone.
The handset is expected to hit the shelves of Verizon Wireless in the United States as early as August 21. International release is also expected soon as the smartphone appeared on a Dutch carrier's website a few days ago.
