HTC One Max Vs Galaxy Note 3 VS Galaxy Mega Vs Xperia Z Ultra Vs Lenovo K900
Earlier this week, Taiwanese smartphone maker HTC unveiled the HTC One Max, which happens to be a larger version of its popular HTC One handset. The shrunken version of the flagship handset, the HTC One Mini, was launched in India earlier this month. Owing to a steady flow of leaks over the last few weeks, the tech community was not surprised with the launch of the new, oversized handset.
Talking about the device's specifications, it uses a 1.7GHz quad-core processor powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 SoC with Adreno 320 GPU and 2GB RAM. Unfortunately, HTC has not used the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 (quad-core) chipset, which is used by competitors like the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and the Xperia Ultra Z. For imaging, it uses a 4MP UltraPixel camera, a similar imaging technology found inside the HTC One.
The rear back camera does allow you to record Full HD 1080p videos with ease. However, the company has not added a critical feature, Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). Android 4.3 Jelly Bean comes out of the box with Sense 5.5 on the top of it.
The rear back cover is now removable, meaning that you can add a microSD card to go beyond the 16GB of built-in internal memory. The device measures 10.29mm in terms of thickness and weighs 217grams. The device uses a 3,300 mAh battery.
Considering the HTC One Max for your next purchase? The new phablet form HTC will go up against other mid-range and premium phablets in the market, all of whom have a screen size larger than 5.5 inches. Here are some other rival handsets that you should consider as well.
