Taiwan based premium smartphone maker HTC which has become one of the most popular brands because of its flagship devices like HTC One has recently launched its latest high-end handset called HTC One (M8) in India and now the company's mini variant of the same has already started making its way into online, in a form of leak and rumors.
Earlier this week, a leaked image of the HTC One mini 2 came to our notice and the very image revealed the absence of the Duo camera set-up which we have seen in the original device the HTC One (M8). If you are not aware, the second lens in the HTC One (M8) is used to to change the focus on a picture that has already been processed. You can change the focus from the foreground to the background, or add artistic looking blur images to the background of a photograph. Obviously, we are talking abut the mini variant and to find some some parts and features missing in the device is not a surprising factor.
However, this is now fully confirmed as one of the sources close to PhoneArena showed the publication, the first press renders of the device, which you can see above. Moreover, the company is not only looking to take the secondary camera sensor on the back out of the phone but also get rid of the front-facing UltraPixel camera. Instead, the Taiwan based company is going to offer a 13MP shooter on the back of the HTC One mini 2, which is a fair deal, which sounds definitely better.
So far, the company has not spoken about the device which makes us less capable of sharing details on the specs of the device. However, the rumors which have been making rounds in the tech community since a couple of weeks, HTC One Mini 2 can be expected to come with a 4.5 inch display with a resolution of 720 x 1280pixels. It would be powered by a quad-core 1.4GHz Snapdragon 400 CPU coupled with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of native storage. Android 4.4 and Sense 6 should be pre-installed in the device.
