Over the past few months, it has become clear that Taiwanese handset maker HTC is planning to launch its new Windows Phone 8.1 running phone. Enough has been said and written about a new flagship Windows Phone that would resemble HTC's current generation the M8 flagship.
Given the fact that the M8 is insanely epic, HTC might have thought (at least, once) to produce its Windows Phone variant in future. Now, today, according to the latest report, a Windows Phone version of the M8 is indeed on the cards, and it will make its long delayed debut before the end of this year, though no future details have been provided.
A tweet made by The Verge's Tom Warren has sparked rumors about the arrival of a Windows Phone 8.1 running handset from the house of HTC.
Tom Warren's tweet on the upcoming Windows Phone reads, "Oh and HTC is working on a Windows Phone version of the One. Should be out later this year."
Well, he did not specify exact info surrounding the device, but since Microsoft is planning to release its first update to Windows Phone 8 soon, one can expect a new monster handset sooner or later.
Earlier in the year, WPDang, a Chinese Windows Phone blog, published a report with claims of HTC planning to use some elements from its new flagship in an upcoming Windows Phone 8.1 smartphone.
Just a week back, Taipei Times reportedly claimed that the Q4 will also see the arrival of several new Windows Phone handsets. Apparently, sources further sheds light on the HTC'W8' - a handset similar to the Android powered M8( in respect of design and specs), followed by several 'low-end to mid-end handsets', to be launched at a later stage.
We hope HTC won't take too much time to reveal a monster Windows Phone 8.1 running handset. Stay tuned to GizBot for more updates!
