Taiwanese phone maker HTC is the news again with rumors swirling in the tech media world about the refreshed version of its flagship model HTC One V.
Recently, The Verge reports claimed that HTC is all geared to announce new device – which is being referred to as Proto. Official sources have not yet confirmed whether they will release this phone as a separate distinct product or as an updated version of HTC One V. However, the reportedly leaked images have confirmed identical looks to that of HTC One V.
Numerous reports are also suggesting that while HTC's One XL, One X, and One S devices will be updated to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, the new HTC Proto might replace the HTC One V.
What Features to Expect?
As per the report, HTC Proto is rumored to sport a 4-inch WVGA SLCD display, dual-core Qualcomm MSM8225 clocked at 1GHz, 5-megapixel camera, 4GB of internal storage, 512MB of RAM, and a 7.2Mbps HSPA connection. With a form factor measuring 9.62 mm of thickness, HT Proto is expected to include Beats Audio for providing enhanced multimedia experience.
When to Expect?
Users can expect this smartphone to be released officially by the end of this year. The company is tight-lipped regarding the exact date of availability and pricing of this yet to be released smartphone.
