It may be a sign that HTC has one more flagship smartphones in the pipeline than just the "new HTC One". Rumours have emerged that HTC is preparing to launch the Butterfly 3 - the legitimate successor to the Butterfly 2, which went on sale last year.
Now according to @upleaks, HTC is expected to unravel the Butterfly 3 in the second half of 2015. It seems that the HTC Butterfly 2 is approaching the end of its development process, and is on track to ship sometime later this year. The exact launch date isn't confirmed, and if it is true, is subject to change.
The device in question, the HTC Butterfly 3, could have a 5.2-inch QHD screen with a resolution of 2560 x 1440. That would obviously make the display super sharp. As for the device itself, the next Butterfly handset is almost certain to offer a high resolution display to keep up with other smartphones of its genre.
The current HTC One (M8) sports a 5-inch FHD display, which could a QHD display panel. An even bigger 5.5-inch version is also being speculated, though some believe HTC might not announce the device ever.
Among other things, HTC is also tipped to unveil a Google Nexus 9-like tablet, the second-generation RE action camera and its first ever smartwatch ( dubbed, "Petra").
HTC is holding a press conference on March 1, where it should launch the much-awaited HTC One (M9).
