HTC Sends Out Invite for Sept 23 Event in India: Desire 820 Coming?
It was earlier this month that the tech industry got to see a number of new devices from various smartphone manufacturers from around the globe. Yes, its the IFA 2014 trade fair that is being talked about at the moment. However, the incredible devices that were unveiled then are yet to become available in the markets.
Most of the flagship devices like Samsung Galaxy Note Edge and Sony Xperia Z3 are yet to become available in most of the markets along with the other devices from Lenovo, Nokia among others.

Anyways, in India, HTC has already sent out an invitation to one of its events, which will take place in Delhi, India on September 23. Now, we are already expecting the latest phone - the Desire 820 to be the one to occupy the center stage at the event.

The Desire 820, if you are not familiar with the name, was announced at the same IFA 2014 tech show earlier this month. This is one of the few devices, that comes with a 64-bit octa core processor.
As far as the specs are concerned, the HTC Desire 820 sports a 5.5 inch HD display and it is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 Octa-Core CPUs clocked at 1.5 GHz and 1.0 GHz coupled with 2GB of RAM and runs on Android KitKat version.
Connectivity options include: Bluetooth 4.0 with aptX enabled , Wi-Fi, DLNA, HTC Connect, micro-USB 2.0 port . Moreover, the phone features a dual nano SIM slot. What is also an integral part of the phone is the support for 4G LTE network which runs on FDD (Bands 1,3,7,8 ) and TDD (Bands 38, 39, 40, 41).
Although, the handset doesn't come with the dual rear camera set-up like the one in the HTC One M8, however, it does offer a high end 13MP rear camera with BSI sensor, f/2.2, 28mm lens, 1080p video recording.
Also add a monstrous 8MP frontal snapper with BSI sensor, which is capable of shooting video at 1080pixels quality. Internal storage is seated at 16GB and it can be further enhanced up to 128 GB via microSD card.
The Desire 820 comes with a 2600 mAh Li-polymer battery, which according to the company will offer a talk time: of up to 22.4 hours on 3G network and standby time of up to 424 hours.
