HTC Sensation & Samsung Dart: Smartphones For Different Segments
Samsung has brought out Samsung Dart which as the name suggest have stuck bulls eye in the mobile market. It is a phone which runs on android Froyo, 2.2, with full Google mobile integration. It is a phone which is super quick for using the internet and this will help you to be in sync always. On the other hand HTC has brought out HTC Sensation which runs on gingerbread version of Android platform. It is a handset which the company claims to be on a high as far as multimedia features are considered.
HTC Sensation comes with a 4.3 touch screen where as the Samsung Dart features only a 3.14 touch screen. Sensation is heavier than the Dart, the later being just 3.8 ounces and the former 5.22 ounces including battery.
HTC Sensation is a complete multimedia phone. It is having a wide high definition screen. It features SRS for wired headphones and DLNA technology for wireless streaming. It supports most of the available media formats. The Samsung phone however does not feature any of these high end multimedia goodies. But it does have the necessary features like a music player and video player. It also provides a regular 3.5 mm audio jack.
HTC phone provides a 1 GB internal memory and a micro SD expandable slot. Samsung Dart comes out with a 512 MB internal memory and a standard 2 GB external card. It is expandable up to 32GB. The Dart comes out with a 3MP camera, which also allows video recording, where as the sensation comes with an 8 MP auto focus camera with twin LED flash. It also has front camera which is a standard utility now a days.
On comparison of both HTC Sensation and the Samsung Dart we see they are both social networking phones. Sensation has the sense technology for Facebook and twitter where as Dart utilizes Google technology for networking. Both the phone has USB as well as WLAN connectivity. Sensation has a battery capacity of 1520mAh where as Dart has a 1200mAh battery. Both the phones also have the 3G, GPRS and the Edge technology.
Going by the specifications, HTC Sensation emerges as a clear winner in the various multimedia goodies on offer. But if you are not having the capital resource to purchase one, then you can opt for Samsung Dart which incorporates most of the features of Sensation but in a smaller scale. After all price of Dart is Rs 16000, just half the price of HTC Sensation.
