HTC To Become First Smartphone Maker To Adopt Android L
This year, Google I/O highlighted a number of products that includes Android Wear smartwatches from LG and Samsung, Andrid TV, Android for Car and others. However, two things that matter the most to the Android smartphone users are the Android One and Android L.
Android One will soon be seen featuring in the low-cost phones and early participants who have signed for the program are all based out of India. Micromax, Karbonn and Spice are officially the first OEMs that will be using the Android One.

However, according to GSMArena, HTC will be the first proponent to adopt the new version of the Android L. Although, the preview version of Android L are already available for download, the OS will only be finalized in a few months.
Moreover, HTC has been a real charmer when it comes to releasing updates in a short span of time. Thus, if you are expecting the company to release the update soon, you might be surprised to know that we are talking as soon as 90 days from now. Because, if you remember the track records of HTC, it released Android KitKat version for last year's HTC One in less than 90 days. So, it is logical to believe that the same and the new HTC One M8 will receive the Android L update soon.
GSMArena further says that it's wouldn't just be One family that will receive the Android L update but it is also possible that some of the selected Desire phones might also get the same update. But there are very slim chances of that happening.
We will keep you updated if we get hold of some more information about the latest Android L.
