Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo comes with a capacitive touch screen of 16 M colors. The screen display has a pixel resolution of 720 X 1280 pixel resolution and is a 4.3 inch in size. The display has many bundled features. Most important one among them is the scratch resistance of the screen surface. A multi touch input along with the Sony Mobile BRAVIA Engine adds its advantage. HTC Vigor shares some of its features like a capacitive touch screen with 16M colors, multi touch input method, accelerometer and proximity sensor. This one has a Gyro sensor too with an HTC Sense v3.5 UI.
Data can be stored in Xperia Neo in its 320 MB storage space. The 512 MB RAM device can be expanded in memory with an additional 32 GB by using a microSD card. The device however comes with an included 8 GB. Similarly; HTC Vigor offers an external data storage option to up to 32 GB.
Xperia Neo has an Android OS with a v2.3 Ginger bread. The 1GHz Scorpion processor assisted by the Adreno 250 GPU and Qualcomm MSM8255 Snapdragon CPU in the device is really powerful. For HTC Vigor it's a 1.5 GHz dual core processor.
Some common attributes in both the new mobiles are some general features one would expect in an Android phone. Java support with RDS, Digital compasses, SNS Integration, HDMI port, MP4/H.264/WMV player, MP3/WMA/WAV/eAAC+ player etc are some among them. Other organizer applications are also present. The phones support a document viewer too with multi format view options. Updated version of the Adobe Flash player, a version 10.1 is coded in the phones.
Both the new mobile phones offer extended battery life. Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo was analyzed and is found to give a standby time up to a 430 hours for 2G and 400 hours for 3G.The talk time offered is up to an undisrupted 7 hours. Music play up to 31 hours is also possible with the phone. The standard Li ion battery in HTC Vigor is also an efficient one. The price details of the phones are not available yet.
