HTC Zara: Internal Specifications Hints at Mid Range Android Smartphone
The Taiwanese giant HTC is believed to be working on a mid-range Android powered smartphone to revive sales. HTC witnessed a steep fall in profits in Q2. Struggling to sell its flagship phone - HTC One, and the rise of Samsung in the low-to-mid end segment, could be the real behind HTC Zara. In the recent days, the rumors around HTC Zara picked up.
The Desire 600 maker is also said to be working on a phablet version of HTC One. IFA Berlin is just around the corner, we could see these smartphones announced followed by launch sometime in November time frame. Coming back to HTC Zara, the phone will be made of polycarbonate plastic to reduce manufacturing cost.
Now according to LlabTooFer the specifications of the Zara have been leaked ahead of its debut. The handset sits in-between Butterfly and HTC One Mini.

The HTC Zara is believed to have a 4.5-inch qHD display having resolution of 960 x 540 pixels. The handset will be stuffed with 1.4GHz dual -core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory (expandable, ), UltraPixel camera , a 1.6-mega pixel front facing camera and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean inside with Sense 5.0 layer on the top.
The Dual SIM version of HTC Zara is said to be launched in China, while US based carrier Sprint should be releasing the handset soon. Now whether India gets to see HTC Zara in the coming months or not, is yet another mystery. But the way HTC is announcing new handsets in India so rapidly; it would be a surprise not to see Zara coming to India in October.
HTC has already announced One Mini globally, and it to be seen how different Zara would be from the former device. The HTC One mini is the latest entrant in the mid-to-high end Android smartphone market. From the name, one can sense the device should be degraded version of its elder brother - HTC One.
The Mini packs a 4.3-inch qHD display having resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels at 341ppi. The phone comes with 1.5GHz Qualcomm powered dual-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean comes out of box with Sense 5.0 later on the top. The device echoes loud with Ultrapixel camera, dual speakers on the front and 4G LTE connectivity. Stay tuned to GizBot.
