Huawei Ascend D3 Leaked Online Touting Octa Core CPU and Android KitKat

Chinese smartphone maker Huawei has been launching a number of devices off late. Just recently, the maker of the Ascend P6 announced the Ascend P7. Moreover, In the Chinese market, it also launched two handsets recently dubbed as Honor 3X Pro and Honor 3C 4G. In the Indian market it released the Huawei Honor 3C for Rs 14,999.

Now yet another handset from the same company has surfaced online called th Ascend D3. Huawei was in fact rumored to come up with the handset earlier this year but couldn't make it. However, today some of the important details about the handset has appeared online.

The device emerged in AnTuTu benchmark database with another name- Huawei H300. Dn't get confused here as this is the same Ascend D3 we are talking about.

According to the details shown in the benchmark site, it will appear on shelves with an octa-core processor. Apparently, this will be a 1.8 GHz K3V3 chipset from Huawei themselves and will pack a quad-core Cortex A7 COU and a quad-core Cortex A15 processor, in a big.LITTLE setup.

Moreover, the chip is said to sport the Mali T628 GPU, which will make it somewhat similar to MediaTek's octa-core SoCs. Huawei Ascend D3 is expected to run under the Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system.

The handset will also be supported by a 2GB of DDR3 RAM and a 16GB of internal memory. No word on the microSD card slot.

Although we don't have a clue about the display size, it is pretty sure that the Ascend D3 will be launched with a full HD touchscreen display.

Imaging will probably be taken care of by a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front facing shooter.

The company has not spoken about the device formally and thus there are not much information about the availability of the handset. However, some of the sites speculate the price of the handset to be somewhere around 2888 yuan which would translate to Rs. 27,099 in Indian currency.
